>>884 Most of us understand the political difficulty of Taiwan. We don't warry about war against Taiwan. These statements will be not for Japan, but only for nationalistic Taiwanese to attain popularity.
Taiwan cannot war againt Japan, when China is aiming Taiwan annexation. It will be a disaster.
> The 尖閣諸島 controversy must be resolved peacefully through negotiation.
We agree that Japan and Taiwan should take this case to International Court of Justice. We can accept the judgement even if ICJ admitted Taiwan. (I think there is almost no possibilty of Japan's lost case.... According to International Law, the claim of Taiwan and China is not reasonable and acceptable.)
>>884 I understand what you say. Just be careful about the media broadcasting of your country (I think Taiwan is a country) which wants to provoke nationalistic hostility towards Japan and manipulate your public opinion to change for the PRC.
Your country and the PRC are so different in political principles: Taiwan is democratic, while PRC is dictatorial communism.
Raising patriotism on this issue can hide this big difference between Taiwan and PRC, but I hope Taiwanese people always recognise this fundamental difference, and also people in Taiwan proudly say "Taiwanese" forever, since I also have a few good Taiwanese friends.
>884 Don't worry too much about it. We know the situation of the Taiwanese, and we also know the situation of the KuoMingTang, our former adversary.
So in above Japanese, I thought, how would KMT react if their voice is not heard in the international courts, because it is not a country(just a province).
Are they going to exclaim that Taiwan is an independant nation, a country whose voice needs to be heard, just on the 尖閣列島 controversy ? www
